Our Story

Tamesis Partnership Ltd is your friendly local business support and bookkeeping service, but being local doesn’t mean thinking small. We think big, helping to foster a vibrant culture of enterprise in our community by building relationships, sharing knowledge and offering our expertise. We recognise that startups and small businesses are the real powerhouse of our economy, so we support the aspirations of local entrepreneurs wherever we can, building meaningful partnerships that help us understand their unique challenges, business conditions and objectives.

With decades of combined accounting and bookkeeping experience, our small yet perfectly formed team works tirelessly to help other small businesses just like us cultivate the most precious asset they have – time. Inspired by the great River Thames that has seen so much commerce and industry rise and prosper along its storied banks, Tamesis Partnership provides the support and services that keep businesses flowing smoothly, delivering money-saving measures, best practices and other efficiencies. Accounting worries are water under the bridge, and our clients can feel buoyant about having more time to focus on running and growing their business.

Tamesis Partnership Ltd – Time For Business

Abour our name

Mina Leal-Birch,¬†Managing Director and Owner explains: “So many people have asked me what Tamesis means. Tamesis is the ancient Roman name for the River Thames, coming from a Celtic root meaning ‘deeply and darkly flowing”. This is why the stretch of the Thames running through Oxford is called the Isis (Tam-Esis).

I was relaxing on a sunny Oxford afternoon watching the Thames roll past when the symbolism of this ancient lifeline, which is always flowing, changing and new, struck me. In this moment Tamesis Partnership was born – a constant reassuring presence that helps your business flourish, develop and grow.”
